One Year Ago Tonight

Twelve months after a gallery's published date, Encore quietly emails the client one keeper from the shoot. Drives prints, anniversary posts, re-bookings. Automatically, while you sleep.

How to enable

It's on by default for any gallery on Professional+ that's been marked Stage = Full. No manual setup — Encore checks once a day for galleries hitting their one-year mark and sends the email automatically.

Which photo gets picked

The gallery's cover photo if set, otherwise the first photo by position. You can change the cover any time and the anniversary will use whichever is set when the email fires.

What the email looks like

A single big photo, your studio name in the wordmark, a short message ("One year ago tonight…") and a link back to the gallery. Branded with your logo if uploaded.

Opt-out for the client

The email carries a one-click unsubscribe (standards-compliant, surfaces in Gmail / Apple Mail / Outlook as a built-in "Unsubscribe" button). Clients who unsubscribe stay on transactional mail — gallery shares, password resets — but stop receiving anniversaries from any of your studios.

Disabling per-gallery

Currently anniversaries fire for every Full-stage gallery on a Professional+ plan. Per-gallery opt-out is a planned setting; for now, archive the gallery if you don't want the email to fire for a specific shoot.
