Add a film to a gallery

The highlight cut, the ceremony, the full set: finished video belongs with the photographs it was shot alongside, not in a separate link that expires. Every gallery has a Films tab for it, on every plan.

Uploading

Open the gallery, then Films, and drop the file. MP4, MOV, WebM and M4V are accepted, up to 10 GB per film. The browser sends the bytes straight to storage with a progress bar, so a two-gigabyte file does not read as a hang, and nothing in between imposes a size limit of its own. Give it a title if the filename is not one.

Films count against your storage like everything else. The byte count comes from the stored object itself, not from what the browser reports.

What clients see

Films appear below the photo grid, and only once a gallery has at least one, so an empty gallery never shows an empty section. They play in place, in the gallery's theme.

Playback goes through the same gate as the photographs. A private gallery, a password, an expiry, a takedown: whatever makes the stills dark makes the films dark too. The download button follows the gallery's download setting.

Receipts

A play is recorded when the client presses play, never when the page merely loads, so the Film plays and Film downloads counts on the gallery's analytics page mean what they say.
